As the ski season draws to an end in Crested Butte next weekend, many of us will head out of town. If you've visited during mud season in the past you're well aware of how quiet things can be.

This year is different, waves of locals are taking to the woods to squeeze out some spring gold from our beloved aspens. If you were looking for a real "how-to" tutorial, gotcha! Happy April Fool's and remember to have proper permits or licenses if you are looking to take or harvest anything off public lands.
